Examination periods involve extreme cognitive and psycho-emotional stress, which is exacerbated by strict daily routines. Recent neurophysiological findings indicate that the female body has increased responsiveness to chronic stress because of the interaction between cortisol and fluctuating sex hormone levels, leading to rapid depletion of adaptive reserves, autonomic dysfunction, and high state anxiety. The traditional educational model, in which scheduled high-intensity physical activity is not reduced during exams, acts as an additional source of stress.</p> <p>AIM: To develop, provide a theoretical and methodological rationale for, and experimentally test an innovative, health-preserving pedagogical technology for reducing psycho-emotional stress in female cadets during examination periods using recreational physical activity.</p> <p>METHODS: In a randomized pedagogical experiment (n = 64) using the Spielberger–Hanin Anxiety Inventory, the Well-Being, Activity, and Mood (WAM) test, and heart rate variability assessment (Baevsky Stress Index), we tested a pedagogical technology based on short-term recreational physical activity (diaphragmatic breathing, myofascial release, light physical activity, and autogenic training) as a tool for non-pharmacological anxiety reduction and pedagogical support.</p> <p>RESULTS: The approach was highly effective. Replacing standard exercise with recreational sessions and introducing active rest micro-breaks significantly reduced state anxiety by 31.4%, improved subjective well-being, and reduced sympathetic hyperactivity.</p> <p>CONCLUSION: We conclude that active recreation methods should be integrated into the pedagogical support system during examination periods.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Обоснование. Сделан вывод о необходимости интеграции методов активного отдыха в систему педагогического сопровождения сессионного периода.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>recreational physical education</kwd><kwd>psycho-emotional stress</kwd><kwd>health-preserving technologies</kwd><kwd>examination stress</kwd><kwd>female cadets</kwd><kwd>pedagogical support</kwd><kwd>active recreation methods</kwd><kwd>non-pharmacological intervention</kwd><kwd>heart rate variability</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>рекреативная физическая культура</kwd><kwd>психоэмоциональное напряжение</kwd><kwd>здоровьесберегающие технологии</kwd><kwd>экзаменационный стресс</kwd><kwd>курсантки</kwd><kwd>педагогическая поддержка</kwd><kwd>методы активного отдыха</kwd><kwd>немедикаментозная коррекция</kwd><kwd>вариабельность сердечного ритма</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Ilyin EP.
